On September 23, 2025, the 17th China (Beijing) International Engineering Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technology Exchange Conference (BICES 2025) grandly kicked off in Beijing. The launch of 12M25 has further improved the key sequence of Weichai M series large bore mining products. Prior to this, the M series already had two major platforms, M33 and M55. With the addition of 12M25, the power range of this series has been expanded to 522-2800kW, which can be adapted to almost all types of large mining equipment such as mining trucks, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and drilling rigs, forming a full scenario large bore power solution. According to market validation data, over 2000 mining trucks and excavators equipped with M33 and M55 series engines have been operated, with the longest single machine running time exceeding 25000 hours. These solid operational data not only confirm the reliable quality of the M series, but also provide solid support for the positioning of the 12M25 as a "new benchmark for mining power".
Constructing a diversified low-carbon technology matrix to build a fully ecological mining power system
The core value of Weichai's participation in this exhibition is far beyond the star product 12M25, but its construction of a "diversified fuel+multi technology route" full range of mining power ecology, truly achieving "one-stop satisfaction of mining power needs". In addition to traditional diesel power, Weichai also showcased a variety of low-carbon power products, accurately responding to the industry's "green" transformation needs. Among them, CTB (frame integration technology) batteries applied to pure electric loaders, excavators, and mining trucks are particularly outstanding, with a power coverage of 300-1200kWh, providing flexible choices according to the range requirements of different tonnage equipment; More importantly, the battery is based on a forward design with a unique "4, 6 layer" layered modular design, which solves the pain points of difficult assembly and inconvenient maintenance of existing products in the industry, while significantly reducing the overall design cost. As of now, Weichai has formed a complete product line of mining power batteries from standard boxes, single pack high-capacity batteries to CTB batteries. Its pure electric mining truck power has accumulated over 1 million hours of operation, helping customers reduce operating costs by 66% and becoming an important support for green mining construction.
