Ignite WRC World Robot Games pick silver

On August 12th, the five-day World Robot Conference 2025 (WRC 2025) came to an end in Beijing. The theme of this conference is "Making Robots Smarter and Bodies Smarter", gathering more than 200 top companies from around the world and launching over a hundred new products, comprehensively presenting the latest trends in the integration of intelligent manufacturing and embodied technology. It is worth noting that a start-up company from Shenzhen - Luming Robotics.

In this "Technology Parade", Luming Robotics quickly attracted industry attention with its concentrated appearance of multiple embodied intelligent products and substantial breakthroughs in key performance indicators. Shortly after the conference, Luming Robot won the silver medal in the first "World Humanoid Robot Games" group dance competition with the full-size humanoid robot LUS2, and became one of the first Chinese humanoid robot teams to stand on the international competition podium.

A series of high-density hot events have made it onto authoritative media such as CCTV, People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and Shenzhen TV, making Luming Robot one of the most eye-catching "dark horses" in the current humanoid robot race.

In the WRC exhibition hall, where experts gather and technology is highly concentrated, the booth of Luming Robot is not prominent, but it is difficult to be ignored. As one of the highlights of this exhibition, the full-size humanoid robot Lumos LUS2 has attracted a large number of professional visitors with its breakthrough ability of "launching in one second". This "standing speed", which is considered a key performance indicator by the industry, used to be commonly between 3 and 5 seconds. However, LUS2 has compressed it to less than 1 second for the first time, significantly improving the dynamic response capability of humanoid robots. Behind achieving this breakthrough is the deep collaborative optimization of joint explosive force and whole-body coordination control algorithms - in less than a second, LUS2 needs to complete 28 degrees of freedom of whole-body linkage, ensuring precise and smooth movements.

LUS2 adopts a human scale design (height 160cm, weight 57kg), and is compatible with modular structure and open architecture. It has the ability to adapt to multiple scenarios such as navigation, interaction, and object manipulation, and is currently open for testing in fields such as scientific research and higher education. What is reflected behind it is the systematic technical capabilities formed by the Luming robot in terms of overall motion control, structural dynamics, and AI perception and decision-making.

At the highly anticipated 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games, LUS2, with its excellent biomimetic motion control algorithm and high-precision collaborative performance, outperformed its opponents with outstanding motion completion and artistic expression, successfully winning the runner up award of the event.

According to the product manager of Luming Robotics, relying on Luming Robotics' self-developed high-power density joint module and full body coordinated motion control technology, LUS2 has industry-leading full body coordinated motion ability with high explosive power and high dynamic responsiveness, as well as excellent full body dance performance ability. Its 360N • m joint peak torque and 10rad/s speed provide the robot with super explosive power and dynamic responsiveness, enabling it to demonstrate smooth movements and precise rhythms comparable to human dancers in this group dance competition, creating a new benchmark for collaborative performance of humanoid robots.
