Leading the transformation of intelligent welding: Yuejiang welding robots empower ships and steel structures to upgrade efficiently

Under the promotion of national industrial restructuring and intelligent manufacturing upgrading policies, the welding robot market is ushering in a new round of growth. The rapid development of downstream application fields such as steel structures, shipbuilding, and new energy vehicles has further expanded market demand. Enterprises are gradually transitioning from production-oriented manufacturing to service-oriented manufacturing, providing customers with integrated solutions. The advancement of artificial intelligence, machine vision, and sensor technology has significantly improved the intelligence level of welding robots, enabling them to complete complex and precise welding tasks while achieving unmanned production, reducing labor costs, and improving efficiency. According to data from GGII, the compound annual growth rate of sales of welding robots in China from 2013 to 2023 exceeded 14%, demonstrating strong market potential.

Based on the self-developed full stack technology in the field of robotics and the extensive application accumulation of deploying over 80000 robots worldwide, we have launched a flexible and efficient welding robot solution. Its welding process package supports rapid adaptation to various welding machines, meeting the production needs of small batches and multiple varieties.

Yuejiang welding robots have been widely applied in various industries such as shipbuilding. As a core link that accounts for 30% of shipbuilding costs, welding faces challenges such as complex shipyard environments, limited space, and low automation levels. At the same time, there are problems such as large fluctuations in manual welding quality, high labor intensity, and occupational health risks. In a shipbuilding enterprise in East China, the Yuejiang robot uses a magnetic base to achieve one click fixation of the hull at any position, flexibly adapting to multi angle welding requirements such as horizontal, vertical, right angle, and circular arc in narrow spaces, significantly improving the welding efficiency and quality stability of complex structural components. Its compact design supports fast workstation switching, truly achieving "ready to use" intelligent welding.

Since the official launch of the welding process package supporting rapid deployment by Yuejiang Technology on July 25, 2022, both the performance of Yuejiang welding robots and the welding process package have been greatly improved.

In terms of safety collaboration, the CRA series robots equipped on the Yuejiang welding robot have a 5-level collision detection function, which does not require a safety fence to work together with people, creating a more friendly welding working environment. At the same time, they are equipped with a magnetic brake function. When the robot encounters an unexpected power outage, it can quickly brake within 18ms and maintain a position within 1mm (with a pin type brake of 10mm), effectively preventing equipment or product damage caused by unexpected power outages.

In terms of stable performance, the Yuejiang welding robot has a repeat positioning accuracy of ± 0.02mm and is equipped with its anti shake algorithm. During the working process, it stops shaking less than 0.4mm when moving quickly, resulting in better welding accuracy.

In terms of flexible deployment, the Yuejiang welding robot adopts a lightweight design, greatly reducing deployment difficulty and cost; Small space occupation, simple installation, and the ability to work in narrow environments.

In 2023, Yuejiang Technology also launched a mobile welding robot workbench, based on the Yuejiang CR10 collaborative robot. Users can customize various welding components and develop their own exclusive welding workstations. The workstation has the characteristics of easy integration, flexible mobility, adaptability to multiple welding machines, and adaptability to various welding components.

Yuejiang Robotics is committed to becoming a standard for global intelligent manufacturing. It has established branches in the United States, Germany, Japan, and other places, exporting robots to over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Currently, the four major series of products have accumulated shipments of over 80000 units worldwide, ranking first in China's collaborative robot exports for seven consecutive years.

More than 80 Fortune 500 companies, such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Porsche, Johnson Controls, Geely, Honeywell, Siemens, Panasonic, Omron, Fujitsu, Foxconn, Samsung, Midea, Haier, Hisense, etc., are using Yuejiang robots to reduce costs and increase efficiency on their production lines.
