In an interview at CES 2026, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan discussed the company’s growing focus on AI integration within gaming hardware and experiences. Razer unveiled several concept products such as Project Ava — a conversational holographic companion powered by AI — and Project Motoko, an AI-assisted headset designed to augment user interaction.
Tan acknowledged skepticism among some gamers about AI in gaming but defended the company’s approach, stressing that AI should augment creativity rather than replace it. The concepts aim to extend the role of AI from traditional gaming functions to interactive companions and embedded assistance.
