On July 11th, the interview team of "Magnificent Guangxi · Comprehensive Deepening Reform Research Tour" visited the Friendship Pass Smart Port, and a sense of technology was overwhelming. The automated vertical lifting equipment in the automated container transfer area accurately lifts the container and places it on the IGV (unmanned transport vehicle), which then automatically travels along the preset route. Throughout the entire process, all equipment operations were well-organized.

Based on satellite navigation and 5G technology, the positioning accuracy of IGV has reached centimeter level. ”Wei Yongke, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone Development Investment Co., Ltd., introduced that the Friendship Pass Smart Port project is expected to achieve trial operation by the end of 2025, which can meet the lifting needs of 2880 standard containers per day, operate 24 hours a day without interruption, and the customs clearance volume will be about twice that of the traditional mode.
The logistics control platform and full process logistics node system promoted by the customs department can real-time grasp the number of vehicles entering and leaving the customs supervision site, as well as the status and risk level of each vehicle, ensuring smooth vehicle scheduling. The customs comprehensive inspection platform has also introduced multiple intelligent systems to improve inspection efficiency and strengthen supervision.
According to the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the construction of the Friendship Pass Smart Port focuses on breaking through the bottleneck of port clearance capacity, serving the efficient connection of cross-border industrial chain and supply chain, using advanced intelligent facilities and equipment and new generation digital technology to promote the digital transformation and clearance mode change of the port, and comprehensively improving the clearance efficiency of the port.
At present, the smart port of the China Vietnam Puzhai Xinqing Corridor is also steadily advancing. Guangxi has also signed a cooperation framework agreement with Guangning Province in Vietnam for the pilot construction of China Dongxing Vietnam Mangjie Smart Port.
