Bangkok, Thailand – In a bid to boost industrial modernization and strengthen the manufacturing base in Thailand, a prominent Chinese numerical control (CNC) machine tool manufacturer, DMTG Corporation, and Thailand’s Saha Group, a leading industrial conglomerate, have sealed a strategic cooperation agreement. The partnership focuses on the supply and technical support of advanced CNC machines to Thai manufacturers, particularly those in the automotive parts, aerospace components, and precision engineering sectors.
Under the agreement, DMTG Corporation commits to providing state-of-the-art CNC machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, and grinding machines, which are essential for enhancing productivity and precision in metalworking industries. The company will also share its expertise in automation and intelligent manufacturing solutions, supporting Thailand's drive towards Industry 4.0.
Saha Group's subsidiary, Saha Precision, specializing in precision engineering and metal fabrication, will be a key beneficiary of this collaboration. The deal is expected to facilitate technology transfer and upskilling of the local workforce, enabling Thai engineers and technicians to operate and maintain sophisticated CNC equipment effectively.
"The partnership signifies a significant step in fostering industrial cooperation between China and Thailand," said Liu Jianzhong, CEO of DMTG Corporation, during the signing ceremony. "We aim to contribute to Thailand's goal of upgrading its manufacturing capabilities and fostering a more competitive industrial sector."
Prasert Bunsumpun, Chairman of the Saha Group, commented, "By leveraging DMTG’s advanced technology, we are poised to elevate our production efficiency and product quality, thereby enhancing Thailand's position in the global supply chain for high-value-added manufacturing."
The collaboration comes at a crucial time when Thailand is actively promoting its Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) initiative, which seeks to attract high-tech industries and investments in advanced manufacturing, robotics, and aerospace. The integration of advanced CNC machinery is seen as a cornerstone in realizing the EEC's vision of transforming Thailand into a regional hub for advanced engineering and manufacturing.
