Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei meets with Chairman of the Thai Chinese Association

According to the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, on August 19th, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Zhang Jianwei, met with a delegation led by the descendants of overseas anti Japanese martyr Mr. Ant Guangyan and the Chairman of the Thai Chinese Association, Ant Fan. Zhang Jianwei expressed his admiration for Mr. Ant Guangyan's heroic deeds and patriotic spirit in resisting Japan. He affirmed that Chairman Ant Fan inherited the legacy of his predecessors and was committed to uniting the Chinese people in Thailand to continue the friendly relations between China and Thailand, achieving remarkable results and playing an active role.

Zhang Jianwei stated that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the relationship between China and Thailand. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 50 years ago, the relationship between the two countries has always developed healthily and steadily, with a bright future prospect. I hope the Federation can seize the opportunity, act as a bridge and link, respond to the strong desire of all sectors in Thailand to understand China, deepen the friendly relations and exchanges between China and Thailand, comfort the martyrs, and benefit both countries.
