Thailand’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) eased to 52.7 in January, down from 57.4 in December, according to data released by S&P Global.
Although the pace of expansion slowed, the PMI reading remained above the 50-point threshold, indicating continued growth in manufacturing activity. Domestic output and new orders remained positive, while export orders showed signs of softening amid weaker external demand.
Manufacturers continued to add staff, reflecting confidence in ongoing production needs despite global economic uncertainty.
