ASEAN Headline News: The Consulate General of China in Chiang Mai announced that on July 18th, the 2025 UFO Shooting Sports China Thailand Friendship Tournament Chiang Mai Station of "UFO Love · China Thailand Family" opened in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Chen Haiping, Consul General of China in Chiang Mai, attended the opening ceremony. Representatives from Chiang Mai Province, Thai UFO Shooting Sports Association, Thai Military Police Shooting Association, Chongqing Sports Bureau and other relevant units, as well as Chinese and Thai UFO shooting athletes, participated.
Chen Haiping listened to the introduction of the competition and stated that since Chongqing and Chiang Mai established a sister city, the "Chongqing Mai" twin cities have achieved fruitful cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, culture, and technology, becoming a model for local exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Golden 50 Years of China Thailand Friendship", both sides held a UFO shooting friendly competition, using guns to meet friends and discs to convey emotions, vividly interpreting the friendly relationship of "China Thailand One Family". We hope that both sides can continue to carry out diversified cooperation such as mutual visits and exchanges, joint training, and technical seminars, and build cross-border friendship bonds in sports and cultural exchanges.
