The 22nd China ASEAN Expo Global Promotion Roadshow (Myanmar Station) was held in Yangon

According to the Secretariat of the China ASEAN Expo (East Expo), on May 30th, the 22nd East Expo Global Promotion Roadshow (Myanmar Station) was held in Yangon. Zheng Zhihong, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Ang Su, Advisor of the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce, Dr. Deng Lunwu from the Trade Promotion Bureau of the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce, and Miao Han, Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce, attended the event. Liang Yiguang, Deputy Secretary General of the Secretariat of the East Expo, made a presentation at the meeting, and about 100 representatives of the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and enterprises participated.

Zheng Zhihong pointed out that the East Expo has provided a broad platform for the development and cooperation of enterprises from both countries, leading Myanmar enterprises and brands to expand into the Chinese market, and helping to build a community of shared future between China and Myanmar. China is willing to continue deepening pragmatic cooperation in the field of economy and trade with ASEAN countries such as Myanmar, and promote sustainable development in the region.

Deng Lunwu stated that the 22nd East Expo will focus on showcasing the application scenarios of digital economy, green economy, and artificial intelligence, covering multiple industries such as agriculture, animal husbandry, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, healthcare, and tourism. During the exhibition and conference in China, Myanmar enterprises will have the opportunity to explore cooperation opportunities in these high-tech industries, promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. This year, the Myanmar exhibition hall will focus on showcasing award-winning products from different industries based on the suggestions of various chambers of commerce, and arrange for Myanmar national promotion events and economic and trade exchange activities.

Miao Han stated that currently, the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has officially sent invitations to all member associations to attend, and all member associations have responded, mainly including the Myanmar Computer Association, Myanmar Bean Merchants Association, Myanmar Agricultural Products and Food Processing and Export Association, Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Production and Exporters Association, Myanmar Jewelry and Jade Entrepreneurs Association, etc.

Liang Yiguang introduced that since its successful hosting 21 years ago, the East Expo has become a driving force for the construction of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area, a unique "Nanning channel", a public product for regional cooperation, and an endless platform for cooperation. The 22nd East Expo will be held in Nanning, Guangxi, China from September 17 to 21, with the theme of "Empowering Development with Digital Intelligence, Leading the Future with Innovation - Building a Community of Shared Future with the New Opportunities of China ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0". This year's East Expo will feature the implementation and effectiveness of Service 3.0 as its annual feature, with the theme of artificial intelligence as its biggest highlight. It will establish new special sections such as AI Pavilion, New Quality Productivity Pavilion, and Blue Economy Exhibition Area, hold a series of artificial intelligence activities, and continue to hold key investment promotion activities such as Investment Cooperation Roundtable, East Alliance Industrial Park Investment Promotion Conference and Project Matchmaking Conference. Sincerely welcome Myanmar enterprises to actively participate in the exhibition and take advantage of the East Expo to explore new opportunities for cooperation and development.
