According to the Secretariat of the China ASEAN Expo (East Expo), all the "Charm Cities" of China and ASEAN countries have been confirmed for the 22nd East Expo.
The "Charming Cities" of China and ASEAN countries in the 22nd CAEXPO are respectively Guilin, China, Brunei Begawan, Sihanouk Province of Cambodia, South Kalimantan Province of Indonesia, Luang Nam Tha Province of Laos, Perak State of Malaysia, Myitkyina City of Myanmar, Philippines (comprehensive exhibition), Singapore, western Thailand, and Tongnai Province of Vietnam.
Since the 2nd East Expo in 2005, the theme of "Charming City" has been launched. Each host country selects representative provinces, cities, and regions of their own country as "Charming Cities" to comprehensively showcase their development and business opportunities in trade, investment, technology, culture, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
In the first 21 editions of the East Asian Expo, more than 180 "Charm Cities" of China and ASEAN countries were showcased, showcasing the achievements of exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN in various fields, becoming the "highlight" of the Expo to promote mutual understanding and closeness between the two sides, effectively promoting exchanges and understanding between the two peoples, and laying a solid foundation for deepening all-round cooperation between China and ASEAN.
It is reported that the China ASEAN Expo is an international economic and trade event co hosted by the competent economic and trade departments of the governments of China and 10 ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat, and hosted by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. So far, it has successfully held 21 sessions, promoting and witnessing the continuous enrichment of the content of the China ASEAN strategic partnership, the rapid improvement of the level of economic and trade cooperation, and the increasingly close people to people exchanges, which has played an important role in serving the construction of the "the Belt and Road". The 22nd China ASEAN Expo will be held in Nanning, Guangxi, China from September 17th to 22nd.
