According to the news from the Chinese Embassy in ASEAN, on July 14-19, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in ASEAN and the Asia Pacific Branch of China Daily jointly held an ASEAN Media Capability Expansion Workshop in Hong Kong. 20 media reporters and internet experts from ASEAN member countries and observer Timor Leste participated.
The trainees of the workshop conducted skill development training on new media transformation, artificial intelligence applications, etc. They had discussions and exchanges with representatives of media organizations such as China Daily, Phoenix TV, South China Morning Post, and Xiaohongshu, and visited the Hong Kong Legislative Council, Hong Kong Cyberport, Shenzhen BYD Company, Shenzhen Energy Conservation Nanshan Energy Ecological Park, and Ubiquitous Technology Company.
