The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines held a National Day reception

On September 25th, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines held a grand reception in Manila to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the departure of Ambassador Huang Xilian. Philippine President's wife Lisa Marcos, Speaker of the House Li Wuzhi, and Acting Foreign Minister De Vega attended, and Vice President Sarah Duterte delivered a video speech. More than a thousand people attended the event, including Filipino parliamentarians, government officials, former political figures, local dignitaries, Chinese community leaders and representatives of various organizations, friendly individuals and media think tanks from all walks of life, ambassadors from other countries to the Philippines, representatives of international organizations, Chinese funded institutions in the Philippines, expatriate teachers, and representatives of international students.

In his speech, Huang Xilian reviewed the brilliant achievements of the CPC in uniting and leading the Chinese people over the past 76 years, expounded the historical enlightenment of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War, and emphasized that China will always be a force for peace, stability and progress in the world in the face of the international environment of turmoil. The China Philippines relationship has a profound people-oriented background, and the people are the masters of the China Philippines relationship. The friendly exchanges between China and the Philippines have lasted for thousands of years, and the current difficulties and challenges are only a brief moment in the long river of history. I believe that with the unremitting efforts of knowledgeable people from both countries, China Philippines relations will see the light of day and return to the right track.
