The Second China ASEAN Youth Leaders Roundtable Dialogue was held in Nanning

On September 17th, the second China ASEAN Youth Leaders Roundtable Dialogue was held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. Chen Gang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Autonomous Region, and Gao Jinhong, Secretary General of ASEAN, delivered speeches at the meeting and awarded the China ASEAN Youth Leader Certificate to the selected Chinese and foreign leaders in the second phase of the Youth Leader Project.

Chen Gang said that youth is the hope of the future. Since entering the 21st century, human society has undergone earth shattering changes. In the era of artificial intelligence, knowledge is everywhere, and outstanding young people are needed to step forward, lead the development of the times, and promote the world towards a better future. The waves behind the Yangtze River push the waves ahead, and each generation is stronger than the previous. China ASEAN cooperation is a stage where contemporary youth have great potential. Young people should possess the ability to think across borders, integrate and utilize resources, and understand the laws of physical space. They should seize development opportunities, actively embrace the era of artificial intelligence, and play a greater role in building a closer China ASEAN community of destiny and jointly building and sharing the "Five Great Homes" of peace, tranquility, prosperity, beauty, and friendship between China and ASEAN, striving for greater glory.

Gao Jinhong said that the era we are in is full of great challenges and opportunities, and the Young Leaders Program provides excellent opportunities for everyone. The ASEAN Youth Affairs Department is currently formulating the "2026-2030 ASEAN Youth Work Plan", which will focus on new key areas such as digital transformation, sustainable development, and inclusive growth, deepen partnerships with countries such as China, and create more opportunities for youth participation on the basis of continuing the achievements of the current plan. The vast number of young people have a great responsibility and a glorious mission. They should dare to face challenges, unite closely, cooperate with each other, and establish friendship. They should observe the world and the future with unique vision and thinking, and better serve the development of human society.
